CaliGraph, a collective of up to 12 artists working in public art and creative direction, occupies the third space inside the former Chiweshe bar. Founded in 2018 by Nyasha Jeche and Marcus Zvinavashe, the collective has been working from Mbare Art Space since 2019. They specialise in mural painting and this engagement is important in conveying meaningful messages, lessons, or questions which resonate with the community and spark ongoing discussion. 


CaliGraph engages deeply with local residents, fostering conversations and encouraging their participation in the creative process. Their projects serve as a platform for asking important questions and gathering honest responses. Through their artistry, CaliGraph aims to initiate conversations that can lead to social and behavioural change. By working closely with communities, they gather grassroots insights and create powerful imagery that reflects the experiences and perspectives of the people they serve.
